Dr. Valeria Stokes, Associate
Valeria Stokes, Principal and CEO for SK Consulting Group, an organizational development and HR business process-outsourcing firm, has an accomplished career in designing and directing corporate talent management strategies, with over 20 years of experience as a strategic HR thought leader. Her work spans such corporate arenas as, retail, manufacturing, telecommunication, financial services, and professional service organizations. She has served as an executive leader, vice president and corporate HR officer for Fortune 100 companies. Additionally she has demonstrated accomplishments in not for profit and midcap size organizations in designing strategic HR structure that is aligned with business imperatives. As a global HR executive, Dr. Stokes has designed HR/OD strategies for globalization, developing and launching learning and development centers in Europe, Asia, USA, Canada, and Mexico. As a program manager for the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, Dr. Stokes served as the single point of contact in leadership development, indicator development and quality monitoring for VA hospitals in New York and Louisiana.
Her work has included development and implementation of employee branding, management and expansion of an enterprise-wide recruitment strategy, leadership competency models, performance management, top grading, succession planning, leadership development, and the development of corporate wide diversity and inclusion strategies and measures. As a HR practice leader her professional consulting experience involves a structured methodology for due diligence that includes assessment, stabilization of current HR processes, transition and change management, transformation and knowledge transfer. As a certified executive coach in the Center of Creative Leadership 360 degree tools, she has provided career coaching to over 60 executives and emerging leaders within the Fortune 100.
Valeria holds a Doctorate in Adult Continuing Education (EdD) with concentration in human resource and organizational development from Northern Illinois University. She is a published author and has presented both internationally and nationally on leadership development, diversity, human capital planning and corporate learning organizations.
