Darryl Russell, President
Darryl Russell is a well known and successful businessman in the Pacific Northwest. He spent 25 successful years in sales, sales management and marketing in the high technology arena with nationally recognized companies like Xerox, Honeywell, Exxon, MCI, Teleport Communications Group, and Focal Communications. Darryl achieved Presidents Club status with Xerox, Exxon Office Systems, and MCI and was consistently recognized for high achievement and outstanding performance. He received recognition in 1986 as an Outstanding Young Man in America.
The Russell Group, LLC was formed in February 2003,when Darryl decided to pursue his passion and work in the area of individual and organizational learning and development. It was time to use his educational background in social and behavioral sciences where he holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Lewis-Clark State College. Combined with his professional experience, he completed over 400 hours of course work at the Xerox International Center for Training and Management and Development. Additionally, he completed another 400 plus hours of training and development with MCI, Honeywell and GE.
Darryl is as an Academic Advisor providing college preparation services to middle and high school students. He does volunteer work within the Seattle School District giving motivational talks to students at several local schools, including Garfield High School and the African-American Academy. He is actively involved as mentor of African-American young men through the Project Mister program.
Darryl is an active member of the Seattle community belonging to The Breakfast Group where he is a member of the board of directors; Tabor 100, a Northwest association of African-American businesspeople and entrepreneurs where he serves as Vice President.
