Darryl Russell, President
Darryl Russell, President of The Russell Group, LLC, is a well known and successful businessman in the Pacific Northwest. He spent 25 successful years in sales, management and marketing in the communications and high technology arena with nationally recognized companies like Xerox, Honeywell, Exxon, MCI, and GE Information Services. Darryl achieved Presidents Club status with Xerox, Exxon, and MCI. He has earned top sales and management professional awards on multiple occasions with these companies. He received recognition in 1986 as an Outstanding Young Man in America. In 2007 Darryl was recognized by Cambridge Who’s Who as an Honored Member of its Executive, Professional, and Entrepreneur Registry.
He is an active member of the Seattle community belonging to the Breakfast Group, where he is a member of the board of directors, and is actively involved as mentor of African American young men through the Project Mister program. As a member of Tabor 100, a multicultural Northwest association of businesspeople and entrepreneurs focused on African-American economic development, he is a Crystal Eagle Award winner. He also serves on the boards of the Northgate Chamber of Commerce, and the Northwest Minority Business Council. Through his membership in the Northgate Chamber of Commerce he works in the Seattle Public School District providing youth leadership development classes to students at the Educational Resource Center at Northgate Mall. Darryl has an educational background in social and behavioral sciences where he holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Lewis-Clark State College. Combined with his professional experience he completed over 1000 hours of course work in human resource development, management development, sales training and development at the Xerox International Center for Training and Management Development, MCI, Honeywell, GE and Exxon. Darryl has received certifications in several other areas including as an Academic Advisor, Resources Associates Innermetrix Attribute Index Assessments, Leadership Development, Peak Presentation Techniques, Effective Classroom Instruction, and Coaching for Sales Success. He is a 2007 graduate of the Resource Associates Coaching Academy and is a Certified Business Coach.
